PERSONALITY

HISTORY Saine learned one thing becoming the rebel he is now: in the end, you were on your own. Growing up, Saine had always picked fights with his twin sister, Anise. There had never been enough food to go around in the slums, and with the meager food their parents could provide, it was always a problem. However, most times, Saine had taken the fall on purpose to give his twin sister the food she needed to survive. He tried his best to be a good brother, and it worked out for a while... And then... SHE was born. Bethany was the extra, the unnecessary, the parasite. And Anise doted on her like she was some prized possession. Like Bethany deserved to be a part of the family. Saine stayed clear away from the of them over time. He didn't hate Bethany. Hate was a wasteful emotion, and growing up Saine learned you used your energy for work. He eventually got a job as a runner, delivering messages and packages. He did what he could for his family, but no matter what he did, it was never enough. Anise did as well, the income was just not enought to feed the five of them and keep a good roof over their heads. And so, when the sickness came and killed both his parents, Saine found himself with the responsibility of raising the both of them. He hated his inadequacy of being able to save his little sister completely. He hated the militaristic hand that oppressed him and stopped his rush to gather medicine, but most of all, he hated that he could was watch as his parents force him to make the choice between them and Bethany. He realized one crucial thing about the three of them: they could not stay. So Saine tracked down anything he could do about leaving the slums, the dome. He traced rumors about smugglers. He learned about the resistance. And finally he learned about a way out. He all but forced Anise and Beth to take his way out. When they finally made their way out, Bethany fell. Saine had to make the choice of risking his twin sister for his little one or just escaping with her. He made the choice. Saine dragged Anise away, determined to save what little of his family he had left. Anise finally was able to pull away and ran back for their sister. Saine, at first, refused to go back. It was too risky. But then the world began to seem much... bigger and lonelier without the two of them. Saine went back as well to the Dome, hoping to track the of them down. Saine arrived only seconds too late to find Anise becoming the meal of the infected. Saine tried to get back into the Dome, trying to retrieve Beth, but the risk of capture was too high. That was the same day he lost his ability to really express much other than a suppressed rage. Now a burning hate for the military and the Dome, his dreams haunted by his dead sisters' faces, and his own self-loathing a dull ache, he turned to the resistance. A promising recruit, skilled with a rifle, he hopes he can help take down the utopia and make sure no one suffers what he went through. | ||||||||
